Waterproofing Vinyl Decking Installation in Butler, NJ
The balcony is located in a private house built according to the developer’s project. The customer wanted the surface to withstand the maritime climate and not require annual repairs. Classic materials like wood or tiles were not suitable. Therefore, after analyzing all the options, we chose a waterproof vinyl decking system that fully met the project requirements and allowed us to implement the task efficiently.
Stages of work
We performed a full cycle of work, including dismantling, preparation and installation of new elements. The main steps:
We performed a full cycle of work, including dismantling, preparation, and installation of new elements. First, the old railings were dismantled, and one layer of plywood was removed. We then formed the proper slope to ensure water drains away from the walls of the house. After that, we prepared the base for the new installation and installed new 3/4-inch thick plywood.
Next, we fixed a new aluminum drip edge and installed the Duradek membrane in Granite color. New railings were installed along with solar post caps, and the existing gutters were carefully dismantled and reinstalled. We also removed and put back one siding panel with care. Finally, we cleaned the site and removed all debris, leaving the balcony ready for use.

Duradek Granite is a modern vinyl coating with waterproof seams. The material comes with a 10-year warranty, and the work performed is guaranteed for 2 years.
