We divided the installation into several key stages:
Dismantling of the old roof. First, we removed all the remnants of the shingle roofing. This allowed us to assess the condition of the foundation and identify areas where additional reinforcement was needed.
Preparation of the frame and water drainage system. For the bay window part of the house, we mounted a new slope and created a proper drainage system. This was critically important, because the old structure did not have the right slope, which caused water to stagnate.
Installing the crate and waterproofing. On the prepared base, we laid a layer of moisture-resistant substrate and a waterproofing membrane. This created an additional barrier against leaks.
Installation of a metal roof. For this project, a standing seam was chosen, which ensures a minimum number of joints and a tight fit. Installation was carried out with precise trimming and sealing.
Finishing works. After the metal was laid, we sealed the joints, installed additional elements and prepared the base for further siding.
